UFC 216, Ferguson vs Lee is an upcoming mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that will be held on October 7, 2017 at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
UFC 216 will be broken into three parts, as usual. The early prelims will be shown exclusively on UFC Fight Pass. The stream begins at 6:30 p.m. ET. The mid-level prelims will be broadcast by FX. Those four fights begin at 8 p.m. Finally, the main card gets underway exclusively on pay-per-view at 10 p.m.
A potentially historic flyweight championship bout and an intriguing interim lightweight title fight headline Saturday’s UFC 216 pay-per-view event. Demetrious Johnson will go for his 11th consecutive defense of his 125-pound title while Tony “El Cucuy” Ferguson and Kevin Lee will clash for the interim 155-pound belt and a possible money-making bout with real champion Conor McGregor.
The lightweight division has been restless in Conor McGregor‘s absence. Many standout fighters are within one or two wins of a title shot but two of them have the opportunity this weekend, at UFC 216 in Las Vegas, to take hold of the interim title.
He was granted an additional hour to make the weight by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, and he came in a half pound under the 155-pound limit and the main event stayed intact. We did have one cancellation as Nik Lentz failed to make weight for his bout against Will Brooks.
Borg needs to go after this man. He must realise that he is going to have to adapt quickly as it will likely be a crash-course in championship MMA, but ultimately, every man in vulnerable. As perfect as DJ seems, in the chaos of combat a punch can land or a neck can be grabbed and things change in a second.
Watch UFC 216: Ferguson vs. Lee live on BT Sport 2 from 1am BST on the morning of Sunday, October 8 or catch the Early Prelims exclusively on UFC Fight Pass from 11:15pm BST on Saturday
